Shipping and Returns

GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY:

Our shipping charges are based on standard UPS or USPS Mail rates (where applicable), which are based on package weight, size, and distance shipped. To preview the shipping charges, enter the items you want to order into your shopping cart. When you're done, enter your zip code in the lower shipping calculator and it will generate shipping rates for any chosen item. This will display all available shipping options.

Hughes Solar Energy offers UPS Ground, 3rd Day Select, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air shipping to all of our customers who place orders to be shipped to one of the 48 contiguous United States.USPS is also available but will be only substituted if UPS is not available or for packages that are less than 5lbs such as the Solar Panel Assembly Guide and Kill-A-Watt items. If payment is recieved for an order and the item is in stock,the order will ship same day if recieved by 9PM EST.Saturday orders can be shipped via USPS and if recieved before 10AM EST,will ship same day.Due to HSE's positioning near major carrier central hub centers and automated processing,the speed at which packages are processed and shipped is VERY FAST.It will probably be faster than any other retailer/wholesaler you have ever done business with before!

Orders to be shipped out of the 48 contiguous United States (i.e. Alaska and Hawaii) are sent by your choice of US Priority Mail, UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air delivery. These orders are not eligible for UPS Ground or 3rd Day Select shipping.

ITEMS THAT ARE OUT OF STOCK:

You will be contacted via email if you ordered an out of stock item. At this point you can either choose to substitute for another item in stock, remove it from your order, cancel your order or place your order temporarily on hold until your item is in stock again. Due to availability and vendor issues, we can only provide lead time estimates as to when an out of stock item will be available for delivery.Most items listed will be on-hand except for batteries and mounting rails which will ship direct from the specified manufacturer. If you choose to remove the out of stock item from your order, a refund will be issued that is consistent with the original method of payment.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

HSE gladly ships internationally but be AWARE,international buyers,that your local customs house stops almost all packages that are from the United States so they can verify the materials sent and charge appropriate customs/import fees.These fees are YOUR responsibility and must be paid before customs will release your materials.If your packages are taking over 2-3 weeks,99.9% of the time the boxes are sitting in customs,waiting for you to pay the fees associated and claim the package(s).HSE also will not mark shipments "gifts",they are marked either "commercial sample" or "mechandise" on the customs forms. Also,USPS and lesser UPS worldwide services do not provide tracking past the U.S. border so refer to your local carrier to get updated tracking info.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

Any items that are listed under OSHA Hazardous Materials regulations require additional paperwork and will require special processing fees to ship.On any item requiring this,it will be well marked in the item description and pertains to certain solar cell coating mixtures and potting agents.Also expect a week or more in delays in order to facilitate proper processing.

RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your HSE purchase of a product, please send an e-mail to info@hughessolarenergy.com within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the product. Personalized or other customized products may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless such product is Dead on Arrival.Solar Cells,if broken by the shipper will be claims against the carrier as HSE takes great pains to properly package and protect all solar cell shipments.HSE will help you facilitate a favorable claim against the carrier but we are not the party to address when considering transit damage.If the item is returnable and you send it back to us in the original box, HSE will exchange it or offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return the product to the HSE warehouse within 14 calendar days of the purchase.

CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACKS

Chargebacks from fraudulent activity are reported to the FBI (IC3) Internet Fraud Center and HSE is held blameless if standard checks have been made and merchandise shipped in due faith.HSE will also cooperate fully with any investigation and provide,logs,tracking and account information to assist in prosecuting criminals using the internet to commit theft.
